The paper has made a delightful turn toward actual application to the real world -- our education system. I've adjusted the title a bit to "Logarithmic and Exponential Functions: Breaking the “curse gap” and Breathing Life into a Dying Topic"
"Curse gap" is a term related to "The Curse of Knowledge" (Christopher Reddy, "The Teacher Curse No One Wants to Talk About" 2016, http://www.edutopia.org/blog/the-curse-of-knowledge-chris-reddy).
In addition, I believe I have proven and demonstrate how introducing logarithms into late elementary and middle school supports many of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills...rather than the current "oh by the way" approach where the TEKS just plop logarithms into Texas high school curriculum as a side bar.
