Elsewhere Symmetricity

It’s that point when you feel you’re in a tunnel.

The harmony of this new bike had previously eluded you.

The wind and the rhythms of the twins underneath you grab hold…

Or let go…whatever is needed.

The Universe has settled in.

The curves and the hills make perfect sense.

You no longer need your left arm to grip.

Letting go your elbow comes to rest on the tank. Symmetricity.

You, the wind, and the bike are no longer in opposition.

You no longer need the brakes to clench for control.

The throttle controls the curves.

And for some reason that Adel song blends in with the wind and machinery

“Hello from the other side….”

The treble beats rotating at the correct ratio…angels of the dusk flutter alongside.

The clutch is no longer needed despite decreasing radii.

Your steel toes and heels peg perfectly moving the gears where needed

Everything is where it needs to be….no grinding…no screeching….no complaining.

Steering only with your knees …the road’s loops move tangent to your wrists radial motions.

Man and machine… Symmetricity…and you wonder how such balance can’t exist elsewhere…
